Worship & Arts
Our mission statement is to connect the people of North Seattle to the life and mission of Jesus, but we know that it is really hard to care about the things that Jesus cares about until we encounter him for ourselves.
That is the goal of the Worship and Arts ministries: we want to help people encounter God.
We do this by creating safe spaces for people to be themselves in worship. We aren’t going to blow your ears out. We want you to be able to think, and reflect, and pray. We aren’t going to try to get you all hyped-up. We know that people come to church in many different places emotionally and spiritually. We want people who are grieving to be able to worship alongside people who are celebrating.
We want all people to be able to come before God, encounter him, and be shaped by who he is and what he has done for us.
Ways to serve
If you want to be a part of the Worship and Arts ministry we would love to meet you and get you connected. We have many different avenues for utilizing your unique gifts and talents. Here are a few:
Worship Band - this team leads the music for Sunday mornings and special events. Some people play twice a month, some less frequently. We have a Wednesday evening practice for those involved that week. If you sing or play an instrument, we would love to meet you!
Sound Team - these wonderful people run sound during our services. This role requires some more advanced technical ability. If you’re not sure if you are qualified, we may be able to train you.
Media Team - we have one person run the computer each week which controls the presentations and video components of the service. This role does not require any advanced technical ability. If you can use a computer, we can train you to help us run our media. People on this team usually serve about once a month.
Liturgy - if you would like to be involved in a service reading scripture, praying, or sharing a testimony, we would love to talk to you about getting you involved.
If you are interested in joining our teams or learning more, simply email Matt Broweleit, Worship Pastor, at email@example.com. We’ll schedule an informal time to get together, talk about any questions you might have, and see if it makes sense for you to join the team.
